Montana CDL at a Glance
Montana previously had no daytime speed limit on rural highways, though this has changed. Current Montana rules set speed limits for commercial vehicles on rural interstates at 65 mph. Montana also has unique rules for oversize and overweight loads due to its extensive rural road network, mining operations, and oil/gas transport in the eastern part of the state.
